The Mc-Vander Gardens

Well, thanks to my mother in law's guidance, and tools, it's official! We officially have a garden! It was a lot of work, but totally worth it! I even got bit by a mosquito on my EYE LID! The bugs were crazy out there. The first 2 rows are Keegan and Ella's garden. They did a great job starting their little seeds of watermelon, sun flowers, beans, tomatoes and even dill! I can't wait to watch them grow! The rest of the garden contains pumpkin, squash, lettuce, green pepper, cauliflower, tomato, cucumbers, and on it's way....green beans, and an herb garden! Check out those pants, and toes....so much for that new pedicure!

When Babies Grow Up....

Wow! In less than 45 days, our first born BABY will be turning 1! We cannot believe how that time flew! So many people told me that before he was born, and it is so true. He is the most incredible baby in the world! I balled when he was born....and I could start crying right now. He is just so amazing. From my pregnancy, and delivery, to his health, and development, God has TOTALLY showed us His hand on that little guy's life. As he approaches his 11 month mark, he is JUST about walking. He will stand and shake....but then fall, and then man does he cruise on those hands and knees! Aunt Summer (sjophotography) said that last week he took a step while he was in Cousin Carson's room! I think between home, Grandma's, and Cousin Carson's, those are his favorite places in the world. These boys are the best of friends! He is such a big boy! He has 8 teeth, and as I do thank God for them....it was rough having them come in. From drool, to fever's, to diaper rash, it was no fun. Thank God he loves the water, because we spent many days in the tub while it healed. His favorite words right now are "da da da" and "HHiiii" (I wish I could share with you the sweet voice he says hi in, too cute!) My husband says babies say the first word of the one they love more...I beg to differ! Today while he was at Grandma's she said he was sad when Grandpa left the room, and screamed with excitement when he came back! Oh I just love him! He is pretty independant, which is fine for a while, but he loves opening and closing doors, and he is just getting in to everything. He keeps me on my toes, but I love to watch him grow.

So, here we are approaching his birthday! If you haven't got an invite yet, they are on their way! August 8th 2008-What a day that will be!

Gardening

Well, the day has finally come! My dream of having a garden is coming true! My cousin came to help me clear out the old wood chips, and now we have the squash, beans, cauliflower, pumpkins, tomatoes, zucchini, lettuce, sunflowers, and ornamental grasses! It is going to be the cutest garden you have ever seen! We are going to get a few herbs also. I am so glad I am not doing this alone because even that first day was tough! I have blisters to prove it! Now we just have to get the goodies in the ground, and watch them grow! I am so excited to finally have a garden at home. It will be a great learning tool for my baby as he gets older, and a great money saver!

Another Job

Well, add another job to the list....I just started job #4 today. It was hard to leave my boys on a Saturday night, but it went great, and my boys had a great night of Daddy/baby time, and what a great thing before Father's Day. I am looking forward to spending the WHOLE day with them on Sunday, and making sure he is able to fully enjoy his Daddy day!

So, I was reminded today of Lu and Missy's blog. What a journey they have been on! They are finally pregnant and I am so excited for them! Missy is actually the originator of my love for Uppercase Living. Her Open House is where I ordered " Hot Baths..." Because of her, I am part of this wonderful business! She invited me to an Open House in the fall of 2007, and I joined the spring of 2008! At her Open House, she showed me " So In Love With You", that she has on her bedroom wall. A perfect expression to show the love Missy and Lu have for each other. I am sure she has something creative planned for "Baby Thumper's" room. I can't wait to see what she does. Love you guys!
